Hillsboro events cover a lot of ground, from intimate backyard gatherings to full wedding receptions with a hundred-plus guests, and the services below are built around that entire range. Wedding day coverage, rehearsal dinners, standalone DJ bookings, portable rigs for venues without house sound, and corporate event work are all handled with the same level of care regardless of size. Take a look through what’s offered below, then reach out with the specifics of your event.

Wedding DJ Services

Full wedding DJ service bookings cover the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception together, planned as one event rather than three separate ones. Songs get chosen based on a real conversation with you, timing gets worked out with your venue and photographer ahead of time, and the microphone work through toasts and introductions stays natural instead of scripted.

DJ Services

Standalone bookings: DJ services around Hillsboro cover birthdays, anniversaries, graduation parties, and any celebration where the music needs actual direction instead of a random shuffle. A short planning call before the date locks in the must-play songs, the ones to skip, and the general mood you’re going for once the event starts for the night.

(971) 930-7140

Mobile DJ Services

Mobile DJ Services: Smaller Hillsboro venues, home receptions, and outdoor spaces without house sound get a setup built to travel light without cutting quality. Equipment goes in and comes out efficiently, running quietly in the background of the event and clearing out completely once the last song plays, leaving nothing behind for the host or venue to deal with.

(971) 930-7140

Corporate Party DJ Services

Hillsboro’s business community books corporate party DJ services for holiday parties, product launches, and year-end celebrations fairly often. Music gets tailored to the crowd and the venue, volume stays reasonable for conversation when needed, and the whole event runs on whatever agenda your team already has planned for the day, start to finish.

About Dan

Who I Am?

A good DJ disappears into the background of a great event, which sounds simple until you’re the one managing it. That’s the gap Portland DJ Dan Weisman fills for events across Hillsboro and the rest of Washington County. Weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, whatever the occasion, the process starts the same way: a real conversation about what you want the event to sound and feel like. From there, equipment gets tested, backups get packed, and a timeline gets built with room to handle whatever actually happens on the day. The result is an event where the host gets to actually attend their own party instead of running it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dan is so great! We had him for our wedding August 2026 and the crowd loves him, he is very personable, and he did great playing our music with our specific requests included to play certain songs at certain times and even to fade out our first dance song towards the end. He did great communicating and making sure he kept me informed of the time as needed to keep me on track with the upcoming events and music changes. His sound system did not fault and he was super prepared with everything when we arrived, including the microphones which worked great. He was so sweet and we highly recommend him! We will certainly be telling our friends for their upcoming weddings

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DJ Dan was a great MC and DJ for our wedding! He made jokes with the audience while calling tables for the buffet, and kept things moving with the right tone, without being overbearing. The music was great to dance to and kept people on the dance floor all night! We had some technical issues with the mic during the ceremony, but otherwise everything ran smoothly so we could enjoy the night. I would recommend DJ Dan for your next event or wedding.

We highly recommend DJ Dan. His communication, helpful planning, experience, and sound system really helped to make our day better than we imagined.
Reasons you should hire DJ Dan
1. From the beginning we planned via phone calls-this helped us get to know each other and create a plan that fit our day perfectly
2. The sound. We had 2 completely different areas that needed sound (ceremony/reception). Everyone could hear perfectly. It was clear with smooth transitions.
3. The music. We were able to share our own made playlists via Spotify with our selected songs for ceremony and our preferences for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. He made himself familiar with our exact songs.
4. Master of ceremonies. During dinner he helped keep our guests engaged and organized for a buffet service. He knew our timeline, is great on a mic, and never let a silent moment go.
5. Bonus! During/after our wedding he went above and beyond capturing photos/videos of our reception and shared it with us. What a special surprise to receive of moments I didn’t know were captured.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DJ Dan spun tunes for our grand opening event. He curated play list that appealed to my team and the attending guests. Dan arrived early for set up. He has professional and compact equipment—most appreciated in a retail environment. He gladly took and accommodated requests. His music set the tone for a great celebration.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dan was the DJ for my cousin once removed wedding out in battleground.

He was awesome he kept the music flowing all night taking requests of songs from young kids that he wasn't even familiar with and mixing them seamlessly into the evening.

His equipment was newer and high quality providing clear sound throughout the event space.

Verified Dan was easy to talk to and seemed willing to listen to song preferences. My daughter thought things were going to go well. We could not hear him with his PA system, even after i brought this to his attention. This was weird because we could hear the people giving their toasts using the same mic.

He played really odd and not great music as people were coming into our wedding reception. With all the great music choices available, this was strange elevator-like music that was really awful. He also did not play songs or genres the bride/groom asked for. Though once he started playing dance music the atmosphere did improve.

Although I'm sure he has a great sense of humor as other reviewers have noted, I did not appreciate being referred to as Good Golly Miss Molly at my daughters wedding.

Verified DJ Dan made our wedding a blast!! Everyone was on the dance floor. He created a playlist based on my specific tastes. He also played music and provided mics for our outdoor ceremony. The sound was amazing and even the last row could hear what was said. He was so enthusiastic and it shows that he loves what he does. He was very affordable and flexible! I would hire again in a heartbeat.

Verified We got married August 3, 2019 at The Armory in downtown Portland. My (now) husband (woohoo) was in charge of the DJ. He called two companies and ended up picking DJ Dan. They initially talked on the phone for about an hour and my husband was sold. He had also read Dan's reviews, which were very good! A DJ is half the fun of your wedding and to be honest, I wasn't sold at first...only because Dan didn't have as many reviews as the other company that my husband had called. But don't let that fool you! DJ Dan was AMAZING!! We loved him and so did everyone else. Our dance floor was full all night long! Before the wedding, we got the chance to meet with Dan who is very personable (we were coming from out of state and it's always nice to meet in person if you can), we emailed back and forth to get all the details sorted out, and we had a final phone call to work out all the fine/final details. Dan helped with the wedding timeline, showed us his itinerary of how he was going to run the night, asked questions about things I hadn't even thought about, and was able to give us advice about how he had seen things done in past weddings and leaving it up to us to chose what worked for us. The day of the wedding he came and set up a few hours before the wedding..which was great! Ensuring that he was on time and that everything worked. Everything felt so smooth that day! He has a lot of experience, he is a great value (we booked for an extra hour too!), fun, professional, easy to communicate with, and quick to respond! Thank you so much Dan for being part of our big day! It wouldn't have been the same without you!

Verified Incredibly talented DJ! I hired Dan for our Timberline wedding on 9/7/18 and all I can really say is WOW! I am not a super organized person and really did not have my ducks in a row as far as music (or so I thought). My husband and I are from 2 different cultures with extremely different taste in music. Because of this, I was looking for a DJ with some experience in meshing cultural music to help all of our guests feel welcome and have lots of fun. Dan absolutely nailed it! He helped me narrow down songs for every piece of the ceremony as well as the big songs for our reception (first dance, grand entrance, father daughter). This was exceptional because he listened to who we were and made song suggestions based on who we were as a couple and not just what he liked or what is popular. He came prepared with songs he researched (on his own without even a little help from me) as well as taking requests for music he has never even heard before that day and working them into the party. Although no one could tell because he is SO good at what he does, I am sure this was not an easy wedding to DJ and he made it look and sound so perfect. Dan went above and beyond any expectation I could Imagine. He helped my brother in law prepare for officiating. He worked with the photographer to make everything I failed to plan happen like clockwork and I never had to stress about anything. Dan brought his A game to my wedding and stayed on top of it all night. My guests didn't even want to let him leave, we extended the party twice and they still couldn't get enough. Dan was such a great addition to our wedding and I cannot imagine there is a more fun, organized, and personal DJ. Dan, THANK YOU for being such a kind and amazing person and making our wedding so memorable. Thank you for integrating the music and in effect helping to integrate family and friends who came as strangers to each other and left as friends. You were/are simply the best!

Verified Mahalo Plenty Maui DJ Dan! You helped make our wedding day and reception spectacular! Dan created a playlist based on songs we provided and was able to weave in the Hawaiian feeling we wanted. Dan gave us a CD after the event that IS the soundtrack of our life. Not just a DJ - Dan provided humor and a number of great stories. Thanks Dan, you are forever in our hearts. Here is a photo of Dan predicting a long and happy life and getting a lot of laughs in the process.

Verified DJ Dan was the DJ for our 5th grade banquet last May. He was amazing! The 100 students we had at the event had a blast dancing to his music. DJ Dan was very adaptive to what the students wanted to hear, while ensuring that the music was also age appropriate. He had them do dance contests, danced with them, and let them see help DJ. I would definitely recommend DJ Dan for any event!

Verified DJ Dan hosted and DJ'd our reception at the 5 Palms. As it was a destination wedding, we did everything by phone and email. Dan was super friendly from the beginning, attentive and always answered every question I had. He made every effort to play all of our favorite songs, which were a lot! He was even gracious enough to play some Persian music for our family! Dan did a fantastic job and even took some pictures after the photographers left and sent them to us! We want him around for all our parties!!
