Dan was easy to talk to and seemed willing to listen to song preferences. My daughter thought things were going to go well. We could not hear him with his PA system, even after i brought this to his attention. This was weird because we could hear the people giving their toasts using the same mic. He played really odd and not great music as people were coming into our wedding reception. With all the great music choices available, this was strange elevator-like music that was really awful. He also did not play songs or genres the bride/groom asked for. Though once he started playing dance music the atmosphere did improve. Although I'm sure he has a great sense of humor as other reviewers have noted, I did not appreciate being referred to as Good Golly Miss Molly at my daughters wedding.

DJ Dan was a great DJ with a great sense of humor for our wedding audience! We appreciated his flexibility and last-minute changes on some plans/songs. The equipment and setup were professional, along with the event planning. He emphasized the important details of our wedding timeline and used his expertise to make everything flow smoothly & effectively. We appreciate him being our DJ for our special day.

DJ Dan made our wedding a blast!! Everyone was on the dance floor. He created a playlist based on my specific tastes. He also played music and provided mics for our outdoor ceremony. The sound was amazing and even the last row could hear what was said. He was so enthusiastic and it shows that he loves what he does. He was very affordable and flexible! I would hire again in a heartbeat.

We got married August 3, 2019 at The Armory in downtown Portland. My (now) husband (woohoo) was in charge of the DJ. He called two companies and ended up picking DJ Dan. They initially talked on the phone for about an hour and my husband was sold. He had also read Dan's reviews, which were very good! A DJ is half the fun of your wedding and to be honest, I wasn't sold at first...only because Dan didn't have as many reviews as the other company that my husband had called. But don't let that fool you! DJ Dan was AMAZING!! We loved him and so did everyone else. Our dance floor was full all night long! Before the wedding, we got the chance to meet with Dan who is very personable (we were coming from out of state and it's always nice to meet in person if you can), we emailed back and forth to get all the details sorted out, and we had a final phone call to work out all the fine/final details. Dan helped with the wedding timeline, showed us his itinerary of how he was going to run the night, asked questions about things I hadn't even thought about, and was able to give us advice about how he had seen things done in past weddings and leaving it up to us to chose what worked for us. The day of the wedding he came and set up a few hours before the wedding..which was great! Ensuring that he was on time and that everything worked. Everything felt so smooth that day! He has a lot of experience, he is a great value (we booked for an extra hour too!), fun, professional, easy to communicate with, and quick to respond! Thank you so much Dan for being part of our big day! It wouldn't have been the same without you!

Incredibly talented DJ! I hired Dan for our Timberline wedding on 9/7/18 and all I can really say is WOW! I am not a super organized person and really did not have my ducks in a row as far as music (or so I thought). My husband and I are from 2 different cultures with extremely different taste in music. Because of this, I was looking for a DJ with some experience in meshing cultural music to help all of our guests feel welcome and have lots of fun. Dan absolutely nailed it! He helped me narrow down songs for every piece of the ceremony as well as the big songs for our reception (first dance, grand entrance, father daughter). This was exceptional because he listened to who we were and made song suggestions based on who we were as a couple and not just what he liked or what is popular. He came prepared with songs he researched (on his own without even a little help from me) as well as taking requests for music he has never even heard before that day and working them into the party. Although no one could tell because he is SO good at what he does, I am sure this was not an easy wedding to DJ and he made it look and sound so perfect. Dan went above and beyond any expectation I could Imagine. He helped my brother in law prepare for officiating. He worked with the photographer to make everything I failed to plan happen like clockwork and I never had to stress about anything. Dan brought his A game to my wedding and stayed on top of it all night. My guests didn't even want to let him leave, we extended the party twice and they still couldn't get enough. Dan was such a great addition to our wedding and I cannot imagine there is a more fun, organized, and personal DJ. Dan, THANK YOU for being such a kind and amazing person and making our wedding so memorable. Thank you for integrating the music and in effect helping to integrate family and friends who came as strangers to each other and left as friends. You were/are simply the best!

Dan is an amazing DJ. He has a great knowledge of music and can read a crowd. He helped my wife and I relax during the wedding. Very affordable as well!

Mahalo Plenty Maui DJ Dan! You helped make our wedding day and reception spectacular! Dan created a playlist based on songs we provided and was able to weave in the Hawaiian feeling we wanted. Dan gave us a CD after the event that IS the soundtrack of our life. Not just a DJ - Dan provided humor and a number of great stories. Thanks Dan, you are forever in our hearts. DJ Dan was the DJ for our 5th grade banquet last May. He was amazing! The 100 students we had at the event had a blast dancing to his music. DJ Dan was very adaptive to what the students wanted to hear, while ensuring that the music was also age appropriate. He had them do dance contests, danced with them, and let them see help DJ. I would definitely recommend DJ Dan for any event!

DJ Dan hosted and DJ'd our reception at the 5 Palms. As it was a destination wedding, we did everything by phone and email. Dan was super friendly from the beginning, attentive and always answered every question I had. He made every effort to play all of our favorite songs, which were a lot! He was even gracious enough to play some Persian music for our family! Dan did a fantastic job and even took some pictures after the photographers left and sent them to us! We want him around for all our parties!!

We used DJ Dan Weisman services recently for our wedding at the 5 Palms Restaurant. HIs constant efforts and attention to detail in order to make our day that much special where so greatly appreciatted and noticed by all guests attending. Dan met with us a few days before our wedding at our hotel to discuss the play lists and how we wanted our day to go. I cannot recommend enough to you to use the services of DJ Dan Weisman, he really went above and beyond for our day. He played all the songs we wanted and accomodated for the 2 different cultures attending our wedding, being english australian, and french canadian music.
